Name: Irwin Lagasse.
Species: La'manchaxBoar goat.
Age: 4.5 months.
Physical Description: Irwin is small framed for his age, his horns only 3 inches when they should be 6, and his height and width half the size of a brother. He has white fur covering over his protrubing ribs. Along his spine, the back of his neck, and the top of his skull sits one solid black line. His eyes are an auburn color, around large pupils. Beneath his slim form sits four fragile legs.
Personality:
Problems Unsolved
Every hero has a flaw that is overlooked. Irwin's is his intelligence. It isn't his fault he was born with the mental capability of a toddler, and it isn't his fault it will always remain like that. Irwin has little problem solving capabilities, relying on others to do his thinking for him. He is slow to learn, quick to forget, and this frustrates him. He sees the other children absorbing and retaining, but he always has to ask questions, have others remind him. The man is curious, desiring to know the world, but he was born with the burden of being unable.
Friends Unmade
Irwin is friendly, there is no doubt about this. However friendly, though, the man has difficulty branching out. Due to his mental hindrance, Irwin knows he will be mocked. Unlike some with mental incapabilities, Irwin is aware of his drawback. He realizes he is different and he is ashamed, as if it is his own fault. Withdrawn, Irwin rarely speaks or even utters a single sound when in the presence of any but his mother. She is his only friend, for the world is cruel. He has seen, in only his short life, his mother heartbroken time and time again, judged for being different. You see, she is a human who interacts with only animals, and so she is alone. Except for Irwin, and Irwin knows this.
Heart of Gold
Understanding that he is all his mother has, Irwin has devoted himself to her. She loves and doesn’t judge him; she calls him her perfect angel. With Bhuvana, Irwin feels normal, or maybe even better than that. With her, Irwin enjoys playing and loves to laugh. Loyal to the girl, Irwin is ready to die for her any every turn. If someone else gave him a chance, he would place that same defense upon them. He is a good boy with no personality flaw as of yet. He is the perfect child; obedience, loyal, kind. A true heart of gold.
Likes/dislikes: Irwin likes small gatherings but dislikes crowds.
Irwin likes light showers but dislikes storms.
Irwin likes eating leaves but dislikes eating grass.
History:
Irwin's birth mother was very sick when he and his brother, Lester, were born. They were both adopted by a human girl, Bhuvana, and taken in as her own offspring. She handraised them for as long as they allowed. Meaning, Irwin's brother, after much thought, left to be a loner at their third month, when he was weaned from the bottle. Irwin, however, was dependent upon Bhuvana. He and his brother both loved Bhuvana, but Irwin felt that he needed her, and that she needed him. Besides all that, Irwin was born in sickness. He has the bug that took his brith mother away from him, and Bhuvana is the only nurturing hand he trusts to keep him safe.
A special event:
It was a good day; at least, that is what mommy said. I was walking again, after having spent 24hours too weak to stand. I even ran this morning, and mommy said that was a good sign! As I climbed to my feet to galant around carelessly once more, I saw the brunette girl smile off to my left, glancing up from her crudely taped together book. She beckoned to me, but I snorted in playful rebellion, using my newfound energy to fasten my gaze on a safety zone one hundred feet from where we now resided. The girl laughed at my childishness, placing her book carefully on the worn down grass after carefully marking her page with a dried poplar leaf. I took off, but my mommy caught me with little effort. I gurgled a sound a false resentment. Mommy was still faster than me, but one day I would be able to outrun her.
One day my mommy would be so proud of me.
